About Rover
Rover is most commonly known for being a British car company. The company was originally called Starley & Sutton Co. The company was established in 1878 and was based in Coventry. The Land Rover marque was founded under the Rover company but is currently owned by Jaguar Land Rover.
The Rover company not only designed and manufactured cars, they created sewing machines, bicycles, motorcycles, aero engines and airframes for the second world war. Cars by the Rover company were built between 1904 to 1968. After that, rover was sold to the Leyland Motor Company.
